Job Description
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Social Worker for a full-time position in La Grange, IL, starting immediately and continuing through the end of the 2024-2025 school year. This role will involve working with students in PreK through 5th grade, providing essential social and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping children succeed both academically and socially.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students in grades PreK-5th.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and attend IEP meetings as necessary.
- Support Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) efforts.
- Complete required IEP documentation and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Manage a caseload of students requiring social work services as outlined in their IEPs.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a School Social Worker (SSW) in Illinois.
- Must hold a Professional Educator License (PEL).
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
